ESA CERTIFICATE IN BODY MASSAGE
This course is covered over 2 days. Here you will perform massage techniques to the body. You will be given instruction on how best to perform a 60 minute massage with extra guidance and discussion of different body types and how best to perform massage to various pathological conditions. Covered is pre and post care to clients as well as contraindications to treatment and those contra actions that may occur.

Massage is used by many therapists within both the salon and clinical setting, in industry and private care. This course forms the first step for those looking to enter the complimentary field of massage. Massage can be found in several forms, however Swedish massage is one of the most widely used, and forms a good basis for adapting new techniques of massage to your repertoire. There are aspects to Swedish massage which will give you the proper grounding for further developing your career.

Carrying out massage is a particular art, taking great skill to becoming an accomplished massage therapist. Along your career path you will find varying massage techniques, however it is important to be able to carry out those basic skills acquired here. Our two-day course will allow you the confidence to use the techniques learned and once you have accomplished the course it is important to put your skills into practice. Massage forms a therapeutic treatment whether it be for relaxation, tired muscles, or rejuvenation. It has been used as a means of therapy since the Roman times and beyond for medicinal purposes along with herbal and essential oils.

You will be observed performing massage to the neck, décolleté, arms, legs, back and shoulder.

Once complete you may wish to further your skills by enrolling onto our VTCT Level 3 Swedish massage course, which will give you further credit towards enrolling onto our more advanced massage courses such as VTCT Level 4 Diploma Massage for Complimentary Therapists or why not try out our VTCT Level 3 Massage Certificate using Pre blended Oils.

Enrolling onto our ESA Massage course will give you credit for prior learning onto the more advanced course.

Duration - 2 days, 10am - 3pm (students can return for further study)
Exam – is by observation only
Certification – You will be awarded the Erasure Skin Academy Diploma massage

Entry and progression routes to further education courses – Other ESA courses, VTCT/NVQ level 2/3 beauty courses.
Student requirements – Students to wear suitable comfortable clothing. Long hair to be tied back. Students are required to be prompt to class.
DATES
The course runs as an individual 2 day course or as part of the Fastrack ESA Group Diploma in Holistic Treatments.
