Core of knowledge is a requirement for anyone wishing to work using Intense Pulsed Light (IPL) and Laser devices in the cosmetic and beauty industry. It is a foundation course that is the first step in becoming qualified to work safely with these devices and is a requirement by many local authorities and insurance companies.

• Be able to recognise the hazards and safety issues associated with IPL and laser devices

• Equipment maintenance

Entry Qualifications

English as a first language or pass an IELTS Life Skills Speaking and Listening (At B1 level) or IELTS General Training (Minimum band score 5.5) or pass a competence set by Erasure Skin Academy.

Duration

This course can be taken as an in-person class of 6 hours at the clinic or an on-line Zoom type class. You will be required to read and absorb the provided handbook (PDF) before commencing. The topics will all be covered by the tutor and in the case where you are in-person some time will be spent covering devices and where possible some simple treatments. 

There is an open-book question paper to be completed after the course has been taught.
